Who doesn’t love the first 1965 Charlie Brown Christmas Special? I think it remains one of the best Christmas stories ever: a depressed Charlie Brown, feeling uneasy about the over-commercialization of Christmas and everyone’s obsession with the “joy of getting” as Sally says, searches for the true meaning of the holiday. The animated special includes great jazzy versions of classic Christmas songs, played by Vince Guaraldi, american jazz musician, and two other musicians (the Vince Guaraldi Trio). The Charlie Brown Christmas album is still a Christmas favorite of mine. It’s different (better!) than other Christmas albums and creates a great holiday atmosphere!
Be a kid again (or not), and enjoy!
